Online Adjunct Teaching---Help!?

Question

My prospects for even getting a couple of English classes to teach are looking grim (I live in a rural city with one community college, and teachers are fighting like vultures for the classes). I only have an M.A, so I'm fish carp when it comes to getting classes.

I've heard that there are plenty of online classes to teach. What websites or colleges hire for Fall? What experiences have you had with them? Do they really give you classes and decent (at least poverty) pay? What about online tutoring for middle/high school students? I'm open to anything.

I'm just another starving adjunct:)

There are actually tons of schools who teach online accredited courses, but the MA will limit you there as well.  Community College level courses are your window of opportunity, however.  So, you want to teach English, and obviously not conversational, but rather Composition, or something of the like.  My experience is quite similar to yours, but I do teach.  I fight for the online courses, but teachers who have them already, DON'T give them up.  So, makes it hard to break in.  Here are some schools that offer classes online, and may be hiring:
