  1. There are independent courses as well. They are not part of a school but are taught as a home business by instructors that generally have a real passion for the subject. Brave Writers is one such independently run course for composition. None of my children have done any of their courses because I too love writing and would rather teach it myself, but I have been on their mailing list for several years and keep up with the website. It looks like a terrific program. The web address is http://www.bravewriter.com/index.html

  2. I would just take prereq online classes at a local community college because its alot cheaper for same quality of education. Just make sure that your're a self starter and be organized. I took 3 online classes last semester and I loved it. The school I transferred to now does not have many online classes. Majority of their classes are telecourse.

  3. I use Alpha Omega Academy.

You can be full time, or part time.

[Full time is 5 or more classes, part time is less than 5 classes.]

Try requesting an information packet, first.

I'm a full time student, and it only takes me 2-3 hours a day to do one full day of work.  [So I do try to do two at a time.]

Another school I know of is:

    http://www.themorningstaracademy.org/

Just google "Online High Schools".  There's over 377,000,000 links.
