Online High Schools that supply a computer or laptop?

what are some online high schools that supply a computer or laptop for use?

Hi--Connections Academy does, but I don't believe you can enroll anytime of the year, making that type of school a charter online school. (not an independent study school)

The ones that do, as we've said here before, are the virtual public charter schools.  Since there is only one such school in TX (TXVA), you are stuck and cannot enroll in online schools that supply computers.

You can enroll in *private* (funded by you, not the gov't) online schools, but none of them supply computers.

The only reason charter schools supply them is because students enrolled in their schools (public = paid w/ tax money) cannot do school without them.  They loan a pc (very rarely is it a laptop) for each year the student is enrolled.

So you will not find any schools that do this until TXVA goes statewide and K-12.

I know that the Washington state online high school does supply a laptop to every kid enrolled. I do not attend the school, but I have a friend who does.

Honestly, choose the program that will fit you best, and make sure you can look at the curriculum and talk to a few teachers first.

Then just get a good deal on a laptop (around thxgiving you can get them for about $200!), or use the computers at your local library.
