Online Public School....Prom?

Question

I plan on attending one for highschool, and I was just wandering if certain events are held such as prom/graduation ceremonies/music concerts.... and all tht good stuff tht happens in a regular ol' school.

I go to ECOT, which is an online school. They have prom, graduation and whatever. Anyone that goes to the prom is pretty much a loser, though, and I definitely don't plan on going.

Many, many areas have homeschool proms, dances and graduation ceremonies.  Check your local/state homeschool association for further info.

There are lots of local support groups around, they could tell you about homeschool proms.  Or the online school itself may hold one.

There are graduation ceremonies, and field trips... more activities than you can ever imagine.

You can also go to traditional school proms as a guest of a student.

If you will be attending an online public school, this is not the same as being homeschooled.  It is "public school at home," and there is a difference.  You should contact the online "public school at home" that you plan to attend and ask if they have the activities/events you mentioned.

On the other hand, many homeschoolers belong to homeschool support groups, and their support groups sponsor proms, graduations, dances, etc.
