im 17-years old, and i joined this online sportsbook.. i started off with a $100, and now i have $1000. im doing pretty good, but theres a problem, i lied about my age.. i said im 18, but im actually 17. i havent recieved the money yet, so technically i havent gotten any income off this. Will the IRS find out about the money i make? What happens if they find out? Should i withdraw the money once im 18? Then technically, i wouldnt have made the gambling money till' i was 18.. wat should i do?

  1. Since you actually placed the bets when you were 17, you will be kicked off their site and won't get paid

they didn't ask for your date of birth when you registered????

  2. Well, I knew a friend in a similar position. Hopefully to withdraw they don't require faxing your drivers license/utility bill to receive payout.

If they don't, just ask for a check via mail and you should be fine.

Try to lay low after this because those offshore sites have no liability with money and can shutdown at any given moment.

Good run though, it definetly is fun, just follow the rules and there shouldn't be further problems.

  3. Keep your mouth shut about it and you'll probably get paid this time, but in future I wouldn't place any more bets until you're legally old enough :-)
