Online Swedish or Norwegian lessons?

are there any free websites that can teach me Swedish or Norwegian. just the basics, because i'm planning on buying a book or some program soon. and does anyone have any suggestions for books or programs to learn norwegian or swedish that are inexpensive?

I only know about Norwegian. If you go to my website: http://norwegianlanguage.info/resource/i... you will see a list of resources. Some are websites, some are books. I would recommend joining Norskklassen (a yahoo group)  see below), and/ or NorWord lessons http://norwegianlanguage.info/norword/in... -- a set of email lessons that a colleague and I sent out in 1995. We have the archives maintained at the link above. These are free, and will get you going on learning.

Since I know the book well (I wrote it), I'd recommend "Norwegian Verbs and Essentials of Grammar)
