Plenty of sites have books, which are in the public domain, available to read online or to download. They are both free and legal.

Gutenberg http://www.gutenberg.org/catalog/ is the best with over 25,000 titles.

The Literature Network http://www.online-literature.com/author_... is another good site. This one allows you to search for words and phrases in various titles, too.

With the permission of the publisher, Google Books http://books.google.com/ allows you to read portions of certain books. They give only what they call previews.

HarperCollins http://www.harpercollins.com/book/browse... allows you to browse inside some of their books. They are not all full books, however. The few which are full books are online for a limited time, so you have to keep checking.

Some public libraries have electronic books which are available to borrow online with your library card, too. My library also allows you to borrow audio editions of certain books online. You could call your library or search online to see if this service is available to you.

One of the hardest things to watch on line movies or tv episodes is the quality offered by most of these sites.They are mostly cam recordings and a real pain to watch.This one has DVD quality and is highly satisfying.
