Online blog websites?

I want to start an online blog... just for fun, does anybody have any good recommendations on a good site to use for this? Thank you!

You COULD go with one of the free ones, like Blogger or BlogSpot or even MySpace or Friendster or (ahem) Yahoo 360.

That last one is a good option if you're also a frequent contributor to Yahoo Answers, as you can link directly to your 360 page/blog from your Answers profile.

That said, I'd highly recommend taking a few extra minutes to learn about blog software. The best software used for blogging is all free (Drupal, Joomla, Mambo, WordPress). So all you need is a good free web host (hopefully one with no ads), get the software setup and running, and you'll have a lot more freedom in what you can do with your blog than you would if it were hosted someplace else.

Or getting Google Analytics on your blog, so you can track where your visitors are coming from, how long they're staying, which pages they're visiting, etc. But for Analytics to work, the code needs to be pasted into your theme right before the </body> tag, and that's not going to happen if you don't have full control of your own blog.
