Online businesses... which ones are legitimate?

Question

Does anyone know of any online businesses that really work? I have tried several and nothing has seemed to work. I have bought the domain name and then let it "pyramid" for income and it was a waste of time. I have also acquired all the wholesale, below wholesale, etc websites. I want something that others have tried and it has actually worked. I don't want a sales pitch. I want people who have really tried an online business and succeeded in it. I know that it can take time, which I am willing to give. I just want something that is legitimate. I am interested in having an ebay store as well. Anyone have any advice on it?

So please, no sale pitch - just real people giving real answers about a business online that a person can really succeed at if they are willing to work hard!

Hello Angela!

I started a online business in November and it's been working for me and others involved. My business has continued to grow and I'm always learning more and getting better at what I do. I'm glad to hear that you know it takes time to build a business. Too many people think that they don't have to do anything and will succeed, but then get mad when they don't. It sounds like you have what it takes to succeed at an online business. If you work hard and are willing to learn, then I know you can succeed at the business I'm involved in.

As for having an eBay store, unfortunately, that's not something that I have experience in. A Google search could probably find you some helpful articles, though.

Whatever you choose to do, I hope you find what you're looking for. I know how hard it can be to find a good online business. I tried 2 business and researched a lot more before I found the one that I'm involved in now. If you ever need help or advice on anything, feel free to contact me through my profile.

I'm glad you asked this question...I was in the same boat just a few weeks ago. I am a stay at home mother of 6 children and I was so tired of being scammed that I went to the internet and typed in "how not to be scammed by online business opportunities. I read through a few and came across one...www.brighterfuturestoday.com . I decided to sign up since it was free and trust me it has been great so far.

You'll find alot of online websites that offers individuals products and services which is basically like infomercials you see on TV about how they'll "teach" you to generate 1000's of dollars dealing with realty. Or various other infomercials that offers you different products or services. All of those kinds of programs are basically for you to buy their package and building up their wallet.

More and more people are starting/wanting to start an online business but don't know what to start the business about. All they know is they want to sell something to make money. You take time out and think of what you want to sell before even starting anything. Maybe you should think about your options? Are you good with your hands? Do you sew? Bake? What do you like to do? What are your hobbies?

A good way to start a business is starting one in which is enjoying to you. If you like to go camping, maybe think of something that can be useful to individuals who likes camping as well. hope this helps a little. If you need any other assistance, I'll gladly help as I can.

Hi Angela, doing business online does not start by building a wonderful website and hoping to bring in sales, auto pilot.  The first step you need to do is to get hold of a trusted and proven resource that will guide you in achieving success online.  I'm a full time internet marketer and had been through the hard knocks.  Be wary of scams though as there are lots out there online.

Well look what you are being offered here. Not one sales pitch here is their own business. They all flog and peddle someone else company or corporation that has been featured here and there, and if that company closes the door tomorrow, and they do very often, there goes their business with them. Some security and reward for your time, money and efforts!

You had already found out that hard work with a poor scheme does not work nor it brings desired results. Why? Because it is designed that way. Should their systems work, they would not be selling them but simply use them to make money.

Lets discuss your options privately. Options about YOUR VERY OWN business, independent, that you control, marketing on-line, based on your interests, hobbies, etc.

My advice is to go where the money is and that is travel.  Travel is a $7.1 trillion industry and growing every day.  A Baby Boomer is retiring every 8 seconds and the first thing they want to do is travel.  The average family in the United States spends $4,200 annually on travel.  This is why my wife and I started our own online travel business. The other posts tell you what a great success they happen to be. It does not mean if you get involved with their business that you will be a success.  If you want to be good at sales you have to be coachable and get a mentor or sales coach.  Yes their programs can be expensive but not always.  Remember, just because a person is not successful at a business does not mean that business is not good.  Even a great golfer like Tiger Woods has a coach.  Learning and running a business is like anything else, it takes time and patience.  Additionally, if you are doing it for the money and not the passion, it will not be fun. When a person gets a college degree they did not get it in two weeks.

You have one great positive quality that a lot people who try business that do not have, and that is a desire to succeed and never give up. You should pat yourself on the back for this.
