Question:

Online car insurance quote?

My husband and I are looking for ways to cut back spending. We wanted to look for better car insurance rates so we looked online and got a quote that was considerably less (about 700.00 less a year) with the same deductibles and options we already have. My question is ... has anyone done this and had good luck with it? And does this "to good to be true" rate increase after they real you in? And what is a good company to go with?

  3. You did ok.  "to good to be true" is only spoken by people with more money than sense. I bet you could save further, depending on how much you originally did pay.

However you should check with your state's insurance department to see if who you choose to go with are licensed to do business.

These are all the main American insurers competing to get your business so you might get a further reduction http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html take the quote, they'll come back with prices from different insurers in your area. It's very quick and free of charge.

The key is to get many quotes till you can't get it any lower!

    Good luck hunting.

  4. I recently signed up online with Progressive and it was significantly lower.  It was easy and I was able to obtain all of my forms online from them.  They did mail me an official copy of my policy.  Right now I am pleased.
