Just an example there is www.pennfoster.com or something. I am wanting a site where I can get degree's online from my house. I want one that I can do all of my education needs though from the same source.

Like pennfoster offer's some degree's but what if I got a degree in a specific field but then wanted to go higher in that field I would have to go to another college or online program and find a way to provide proof I had the other Degrees" that were needed? How does all of that work and were's the best place to do this at online?

  1. I think the most important thing you want to consider in this process is to make sure that any school you choose is accredited. Contrary to what some have said in their answers there are a number of fully accredited colleges and universities that offer online degree programs. In fact many schools with campus programs have begun offering more and more programs online because of the advantages they offer. As long as the school you enroll in is accredited any degree you earn should allow you to continue your study on the next level even at a different school. But if you are truly interested in staying with one school there are a number of colleges that offer programs on all levels. The site below has some good information on accredited online degrees and some other schools for you to check out if you choose to go this route. Best of luck

  2. Western Governors University is an accredited on-line University. They don't offer a huge selection of degree programs, but if what you are looking for is there--it is worth going through perusing their website:

    www.wgu.edu

I was able to get my teaching degree on-line and am very happy that I did.  The one thing about working on-line is that you have to be self-motivated!

    Good luck!

  3. Get enrolled at a bricks and mortar school....many offer classes on-line.  Make sure they are accredited.  Do NOT spend your time on money on a totally on-line school.  They are not accrediated, and credits will not transfer to other schools, your degree will be worthless.  Employers are now very savy about these schools, knowing the degree means nothing.  Even community colleges offer classes either on-line or in class.  Some classes just cannot be taught on-line....labs, interaction, etc.  Good luck!
