Online degrees what the h**l is up with them?

i want to go to uni but i want tlo earn money so i thought online degrees in criminal justice. but i only found ones from america but international students are taken. so if im in england but the course is coming from the us were will i take the final test or is it e mailed to me

The final test will be taken online just as your courses will be. Most schools have their own specific technology they use to administer exams to ensure security and accuracy. I would recommend contacting a number of schools specifically to find out their specific policies. This site has some good information on online criminal justice degree programs.

You will find they are done online, but these are not valued by employers or recognised qualifications by universities over here. You need to be CAREFULL before you spend lots of $$$'s.  

Why not try the Open University, it has a degree in criminal justice or you can do a Diploma to see if you like this area first?

You will find that the OU study can be flexible, it can move with you if you move jobs across the UK, and you will at least have a tutor to phone and tutorials and day schools, which cuts down on feeling isolated.

I did my first degree with the OU and now I teach with the OU and have been a fan for the last 20 years, so yes I am biased, but go check it out for yourself.

Don't do it.  Many employers and government bodies do not recognize on line degrees.  If you want to do it just for yourself as a learning experience then that is fine.  But many people do not realize that on line degrees are really not of much use if you are looking for work etc.
