unless it says "with mail in rebate" ya online it comes out free

meaning if its in the store its 99.99 but you get a online discount and it just comes out to be free online.. but only online with 2 year contract

As long as you sign the two year contract with Verizon that phone will be free.  You get the discount for signing the contract.  If you just wanted the phone and no contract you would pay retail price which is even higher than $99.99.  So if you sign the contract make sure its a phone you like.  You will have that phone for two years until you resign the contract.  At that time you will get another discount on another new phone.

If you want a new phone within that two year period, the only way is to pay retail on a new phone or buy a used one from ebay.
