  1. There are several types of online high schools.  There are the ones that you pay for and the ones that are free.  The ones that are free are called public online schools, like www.flvs.net.  You don't have to pay for flvs and you don't have to live in FL to take any of their classes.  There are also Charter Schools.  See if your state offers online charter schools.  You can check the laws for homeschooling at www.hslda.org.  You can also find out from hslda.org if your state offers public online schools or charter schools.  Also, if you want an online school that will also provide the books you should try www.pennfosterhighschool.com  they will provide you with the books AND the books will also be online.  This way if your computer breaks down or crashes you will still have the books with you.  Also, Penn Foster is $900 for all Four years of high school.  If your younger brother has some credits already earned you will get credited and your tuition will be less.  If you have questions about a perticular school, call them and ask them directly.  Their websites may not be updated, too, so call them and ask.

  2. Have you checked to see if your state offers a free virtual academy?  That way you could avoid paying for it at all.

  3. it's for 2 terms I think

  4. The prices are for each semester, so if there are three semesters you will have to triple the price to get the price per academic year
