Online high school?

Question

is an online high school acceptable when you go apply for college?

there are ap and honors classes as well.

I need to convince my parents to let me do this.

I've gone to a digital academy for all 4 years of high school and I've learned yes it is acceptable because your still getting a high school diploma and you're earning the credits you need to graduate. So yes its acceptable. If it's something you really want to do then sit your parents down and explain to them why you feel like going to an online high school would be better for you.

Yes, online highschool is certainly acceptable for college admission.  

Online schooling can be done in your own time, so you will have more time to explore other interests.  You can join more social networking groups, study more electives, or whatever it is that will help you live in the world outside of the classroom.

Maybe if you explain it to your parents in a calm, collected, grown up manner; they will listen to you.

I went to Pa leadership charter school. Which is one of the first online high schools here in Pa and I graduated from there. I'm a accelerated Medicine major at penn state. On their application and other universities they have the online schools listed. It actually shows more motivation and self dicipline when you go to an online school since it requires more independent learning. Tell your parents that. It gives you freedom as well as one of the best educations you can get from a highschool minus all that petty school drama. No cliques.. it's amazing..

Going to online high school you can get accepted for colleges.

When you look at college sites and you read about their information...there should be links on the school websites such as ADMISSIONS, and that usually should explain the requirements FOR ANY TYPE OF STUDENT to get into the college.

Sometimes with online high school students they don't require SAT scores.

If you are interested in some colleges you could always e-mail them or call for more information.

It really depends on the college, they all have different requirements.

But putting it simply you do get accepted to college if you go to online high school.

I was an online high school student and I've been accepted to all the schools I was planning on going too, I just have to choose the one I want to go to now!
