  1. This one is only on Maui, but check it out - it uses the K12 curriculum, which is awesome!

    Kihei Charter School

    300 Ohukai Road Ste. #209

    Kihei, HI 96753

    http://www.kiheicharter.org

    Grades K-12

    Maria Quinn, Lead Teacher

    mquinn_kcs@yahoo.com

    Phone: 808-875-0700 or 808-357-4665

    Fax: 808-874-6745

This program accepts eligible K-12 students on the island of Maui and there is an on-site requirement for this program.

  2. You can join online homeschooling

    from

    http://directdegree.info/

    from hawaii.

It's no 1 website for homeschool.

  3. If you are talking about a school that is really online, rather than partially, so that you don't have to buy books, email back and forth, or call all the time, you would need to choose Hawaii Virtual School, Christa McAuliffe Academy or E-tutor. All are totally online, and accepted in Hawaii because they have real, transregional accreditation (CITA) and live teachers available if needed. Each has automated grading of tests, so you get instant results. Christa McAuliffe appears to be the most comprehensive, Hawaii Virtual the toughest to get into, and e-Tutor the most economical. (BTW, most schools claim to be  "online" nowadays, but it's just a sales gimmick.)

  4. Hi-- I think www.keystonehighschool.com   > (Keystone National High School) this is were I go...they offer online school in Hawaii & Alaska besides the continental U.S. It is an awesome school. They do high school transcripts & teacher recommendations for college. They have honors & AP classes if you are planning to go to college for college prep, & they also have a lot of business type courses if you are going right into your career. It is highly accredited, & I would highly recommend it. Feel free to email me if you have any more questions, I will try my best to answer them. =]

  5. are you talking about high school? i don't know. if you're talking about college then there's tons. if you enroll into the UH system, you can take distance education classes from as many community colleges on the island...i know someone who lives on kauai and is taking 4 classes from 3 or 4 different community colleges on oahu. try it! next semester, i mean

  6. I'm not having much luck finding one for you.  Agora keeps popping up in the search, but they are in PA.  Not only that, but the amount of advertising and pop-ups on their site would make me leary.

here are some web pages to maybe keep an eye on.  there may be a charter school near you that may switch to or add online schooling.

    http://www.uscharterschools.org/cs/n/vie...

    http://www.educationevolving.org/student...

    http://www.ncsrp.org/cs/csr/print/csr_do...

    good luck!

  7. http://www.hawaiivirtualschool.com/ I think it's private.

http://ethompson.org/ is, I believe, Hawaii's free online school.

Connections Academy is looking at getting a school started in Hawaii. If you let them know you are looking, then they'll be that much more likely to get one started.
