Online homeschooling with the Southern Baptist Academy?

Question

Due to several personal reasons my mother took me out of school and decided to homeschool me through the Southern Baptist Academy. Both her and my dad work full time so I am left to do school by myself during the day. (Which I have no problem with.) I'm struggling to understand the lessons. Most everything is ALL reading. No worksheets, etc. Then every now and then I will have a journal assignment or free response and I have no clue how to do it! I'm not understanding the lessons and neither is my mom. It is hard for her to help me when she doesn't understand it either!

Does anybody know if there is any way I can switch curriculums now but still complete the 9th grade? And if not can anybody offer me some advice?

Please don't suggest that my parents need to send me back to normal school. That is not why we are here.

Hi Brittney,  I would NEVER suggest your parents send you back to school!!  I am passionate about home schooling any I am happy that you made that choice.  It sounds like you have a really rough curriculum to work with, and I hope your parents didn't spend too much.  I would recommend switching to the LIfe-Pac curriculum from Alpha Omega press.  IN each workbook (your year is divided into ten books for each subject) you have a small amount of reading then you answer questions.  There are three self tests in each book and a final book test as well.  If you order the curriculum for your grade at this time of the year you could just start with book five in all subjects, or if you are feeling industrious and studious, start at abook one and do them all.  I have always though that this curriculum would be perfect for anyone doing home school work with parents who work.  Check out Alpha Omega press, and feel free to contact me at [e-mail] if you have any questions.  Good Luck to you and your family

I agree that Alpha Omega Lifepacs or even Ace Paces might work better than what you're using.  Here are some other suggestions:
