Online orders?

Question

I place 3 orders. 2 on the 29th and 1 on the 30. When I check the order from the stores web site it says they will be here on Wednesday ( 1/2/08 ) but when I track it using the tracking number on UPS.com it says that they will be here on the 3rd. I am really confused cause I requested One Day Shipping on all three of these orders..... Any one know whats going on?

your shipping is 1 day from the time your order is packed and processed,so go by the ups tracking cuz they are going by when they picked up the package

call them and ask or email them. the package may have been shipped wrong

Ask for a refund for the shipping.

I think all the stores know this time of year the packages probably won't get to you in time.

Weather problems possibly. I have had the issue recently this Christams. I placed an order and it confused me by all the dates they were giving me for it's arrival.

It turns out my package was stuck somewhere in a storm where the planes could not leave the ground.

So I think the best is just to wait it out. If it doesn't come within the next month, I would try giving UPS a call.

I paid extra to have 5 day delivery. I thought it meant I would receive in 5 days ,but when i called they said no that meant they would ship it out in 5 days better than the 10 day they usually do. I really don't know if maybe they just made a mistake on your order. and never did the overnight delivery for you.

it is one day shipping, after the 3-day process.

so its about 4 days for one day shipping.

maybe the new years thing kinda messed them up...just wait till the packages arrive then call the people..and explain.

As someone who's done orders, and shipped them I see people misunderstanding shipping policies a lot.

one day/next day/2nd day shipping always applies to the day that its shipped (not when the order is placed.)  Some companies are really good about shipping orders out the same day or next day.  Sometimes however they get backlogged and have more orders then they can fill in that amount of time and you get delayed.  (Rushed orders are usually put up front, but if there are a lot of rush orders... )

I would say that your order may have been delayed because of the holidays.  Although UPS may not shut down completely its most likely a skeleton crew.. so totally up to normal speed may not be happening.

Trust the date UPS says.  The information you are getting from whatever website is delayed, because they have to track it and then give it to you.  UPS is going to be able to give you the most updated time frame.  You may also receive it earlier, because those dates are always just estimated dates.
