i need to make some extra money, but at the same time, i don't want to lose alot. i'm good at poker, but i don't know how good. i need a poker room online (because i'm under 21 but over 18) where i can bet like maybe 50$ max or soemthing.

does anyone know of any sites like this? (also i'd prefer if they accepted paypal...if not, i have visa).

oh, and one last thing, is there any kind of online casino where they don't need my address, where they could just put the credit right on my visa card?

  1. Fulltilt is great for that- you can read more about fulltilt at http://www.bettingwise.com/fulltiltpoker...

Also if you are from USA you should deposit with Echeck because sometimes visas are not accepted, you know, its hard to deposit these days from USA.

  2. Any of the major poker sites have stakes down to pennies.  None of them accept paypal, however.

  3. First of all, I want to quote a wise gambler who sat next to me at a blackjack table years ago.  He looked at me and said, "If I wanted to make money in a casino, I'd get a job."  That's not to say that winning doesn't happen -- I've won a lot -- but if you NEED to make extra money, get a job first.  Now on to answering your question.

As mentioned above, pretty much all of the major online sites have games for stakes from pennies to as much as you can imagine.  PokerStars, FullTilt, UltimateBet, DoylesRoom, Bodog, you name it.

The online card rooms are all going to want your address.  Wouldn't you want them to have everyone's information for security reasons?  I'd be awfully suspiscious of any online gambling site that does not require much information to identify the players.

However, I think that you were asking about needing your address for cashout purposes.  Most of the time, your visa card isn't going to work to fund or cash out from any online gambling site.  You may get lucky -- but most likely your bank is programmed to turn down any such transactions.  As such, you will have several options.

You can sign up for an intermediary payment service.  There are things like Click2Pay and different ewallet services where you can put money in a virtual account using your visa card and then fund your poker account from there.  Each individual poker site has a list of funding options somewhere on their website -- just look at the website of the room in which you want to play.  Of course, the middle man is going to take a percentage.  Then when you cash out you can cash the money out to your ewallet and then get it from there.  Check on their cashout policies as some may credit it right to your card, some may cash it directly to your bank account, others may want to send you a check.

Another option is funding an account through a money transfer.  I play at PokerStars -- and back when I used to make deposits, I used Western Union or MoneyGram.  They are the biggest ripoff as far as fees (they will likely charge you like $10 to send $50)-- but then you don't need to give out personal information to yet another online payment service -- you can just walk into a gas station or a Wal-Mart and send money and it usually gets credited to your account at PokerStars within an hour (often within 20-30 minutes).  But these days I make cashouts, not deposits.  Which brings me to cashing out . . .

You need to check with the individual site for cashout options.  As I mentioned, I use PokerStars.  I actually stopped using Western Union at some point because PokerStars started taking eChecks.  As long as you don't bounce a check, they credit your account instantly when you deposit via eCheck (though you need to give them your Social Security number).  Then you can also cashout via eCheck.  I once cashed out via Western Union -- but the fee was ridiculous.  I think it cost me like $50 to cash out $750.  eCheck cashouts are free.  PokerStars won't let you cash out more than $2500 in one eCheck cashout, but you can do multiple cashouts.  They take 3-5 days to process -- but each time I had my money in 3 days.  I cashed out $10,000 over the course of one week in February to buy a car and it all went into my checking out -- no fee, quick and painless.  PokerStars also allows you to cashout via a check from them -- but a small check takes like 2 weeks or maybe more to arrive, then you have to wait for it to clear at your bank.  Over $1K they will send via a courier -- but again, it just takes too long.

P.S.  My last deposit was for $200 in January.  A week later I had $16,000 in my account and I haven't looked back since.  However, I did spend a few years losing money before I learned to play the game well.  Be prepared -- it may take you a while to get the hang of it.  Anyone can learn how to play poker -- but playing it well takes EXPERIENCE.  There is no substitute for tens of thousands of hands of experience.  Start slow and low and maybe it will work out for you.  Good luck.

  4. Poker stars and full tilt.  They dont take paypal or visa cards... They do however take the visa Prepaid cards such as the all access visa from netspend or the green dot cards.  The all access can be loaded for no charge with pay pal but it takes 48-72 hours to post to your visa card..prepaid card.  If you cant wait you can reload the card unlimited times at vons all instantly but this costs 4.95 each time.  Hope this helps.. it is the best answer so please choose it asa such!!!
