ng, becasue I have some money but I don't have enough to buy like all the time. And I'm novice as far as constantly trading all the time (doesn't it cost money to trade anyway each time? so if a stock goes up a dollar then you wanna sell, you're already getting a cut taken from the company) Do I need to get a financial person to buy me stock or can I do online trading? I get how stocks work (prices go up and down like a rollercoaster, bla bla) I just don't get the process of actually getting STARTED and actually purchasing stock. None of my friends will tell me what they do, even my teacher wouldn't tell me.

Well first off you need to do your homework on your stocks, because in this market its very easy to lose money. Once your ready go to an online brokerage firm and set up and account. I recommend scottrade because thats what i use and have no problems. With any firm you can call there service center to have them help you set up the account. Once you do that you fund the account (some firms will let you fund via your bank account or you can send them a check, or if they have a local branch you can just go there) and buy your stocks.
