  1. Try www.unisa.co.za

Its is a south african correspondence university but they also cater for international students. They are well known and they are accredited.

    good luck.

  2. What about Walden University?

"Walden University has been accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1990"

    -Wikipedia

The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) is one of six regional accreditation organizations recognized by the United States Department of Education and Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

"Walden University’s programs are open to students anywhere in the world."

-Sourced off Walden University's website. Just click on 'International Students' on the homepage and you re directed to this page.

And as regards the cost, you can't have your cake and eat it too, my friend! If you want a cheaper Bachelor's degree you might have to settle for one of those online universities(diploma mills?) like Belford or Rochester which are not accredited to any agency recognised by the United States Department of Education.

If it were that cheap, studying for an American degree and using it to gain legal entry into the US as an immigrant would be a real piece of cake(pun intended).

If you re willing to take a chance, try Capitol University, which   mentions on its website that it is an ISO 9001:2000 certified institution(the international stamp of quality). It is not accredited by any agency recognised by the United States Department of Education, but it claims to be in a position to have its degrees verified and authenticated by The Authentication Office of the United States Department of State. Dunno how true this is, but the programs are relatively cheap compared to Walden. Check out the link given below for details.

    All the best!
