  1. nm

  2. I would stay, just learn from the older players, it will do you good.

Some of the juniors train with the U18's and seniors at my club and they feel the rewards come game day.

  3. That's the shot mate, you will get more answers on here, some of our regs will be in bed now, but most will give you an answer, you'll see, good bunch in here champ.

edit- a thumbs down for this answer, ok, the reason???

  4. Good luck

my son was 14 at the time and played a A grade it was his chose

He was good enough to play A's but i think it was a big step  but the U15's the team was rubbish

I suggest you play in your comfort zone so you still enjoy your footy

dont play for a team who you think rubbish.

it will be like doing homework on the week end

  5. as long as you have the confidence and the passion, then its all good and best of luck to you!!

Continue to play and enjoy our great game and just ignore the nasty ppl on this forum.

  6. Hey mate i can remember when i was your age playing football when i was your age back in a place called Minlaton on the Yorke Peninsular (S.A.), i used to play colts(under 16) and then playing A grade, sure they do hurt you a bit more but it was the best thing i could have done.U can learn a lot playing with the big boys but stick with it mate what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger.I wish u all the best in your footy and hope to see you on t.v. one day.

  7. I tend to agree with Asterix but at the same time, I know how important the backing of a great family is, especially for a young man and especially one who is serious about his footy.

No matter what happens, it is important that you stay grounded and never lose sight of your goals and dreams. Whatever you do, don't ever be tempted by the drug or alcohol culture that plagues SOME footy playing communities. You seem level headed now but if you are living away from your family you might end up feeling vulnerable to people who can be a bad influence.

Just a few ideas for you to consider. Ultimatly the choice has to be made by you. Best of luck whichever way you go, make sure you let us know how you get on :)

  8. If your body is not mature enough then playing with the bigger guys will probably get you injured....being injured then there's little opportunity to improve

go back and play with the under 17s if they have one....improve your skills and weights training to get your body stronger (no drugs please)

always push yourself to that next level because if you are going to make something out of this then you will have to eventually play with men

    .

  9. Playing with guys bigger than you will get you used to the physical stuff you'll experience in the better comps.

I'd stick it out for a season or 2 then try heading back to play in the u/18 before the seniors. If you don't want to wait that long you still have a couple of choices go back and play in the comp you prefer or maybe you could a P. Bell and train there and play in the other comp

  10. I think you should try and stick with it, it will be harder to get more play time but it will help you improve faster then you think. Stick with it and you will develop good life skills and game skills. Good luck with any decision you make.

  11. So you say the local footboot B grade team is c**p! That is obviously because you can't get a game or a kick there.

Or is it just an excuse to get back with your dad because your parents have split up.  Don't use footy as an excuse to play mum against dad.

You'll grow up one day - both as a footballer & a person. You will only get that through experience - not by listening to answers on here of which you wish to hear.

  12. I would stick it out being a small town I am sure some of the older guys will take you under their wings and you can only benefit from that and don't forget you will be 18 one day and the experience playing with those older will be great for your future footy playing career.

    Good Luck young man

  13. i think its really great that you want to move becoz you love footy so much. if thats what you truly want then move there. it will just be hard trying to adjust to the new living style. ive just moved to Melbourne from QLD and i find it really hard becoz i miss all my friends and my parents and little bro and sis who are still living up there but its your decision. if you want to move then everyone should be happy for you.

  14. What should you do? Give up football & take up marbles.

If you're too scared to play against 18 to 20 year old, you'll never be any good.

  15. If you you love your footy enough and think you're good enough,  all I can say is go for it.  Nothing should come between a man and his footy!  All the best mate.
