I ran XC in high school with a 5K best of 25 minutes. This year I want to break 22 minutes.I've been running 3-4 miles about 4 days a week at 10 minute-mile pace (not enough, I know). The problem is that I have very little time this summer to prepare for the fall season...1 week at home to run (in July)4 weeks traveling where I cannot run at all but can jumprope 1 week at home to run (in August)I want to improve my times and endurance as fast as possible so I can break 22 minutes but I don't know what training to do in such little time at home. Is it best to run a 5 mile loop everyday and just improve my pace? Or should I do speedwork?I have 1 week now and 1 week in August...what would you recommend I do to gain the most out of that time?(I will be jumproping for endurance also)Thank you!
