And also, there's a hadith (I think, but am not sure. My uncle said this) that whoever reads nafl prayer, he becomes Allah (SWT)'s hands and eyes. I don't believe such a hadith exists - it sounds really wrong to state this. I just wanted to clarify this.

  1. Again, without a reference these narrations are baseless. So when they provide a reference then we can talk more about the authenticity.

As for the Ghayb... Allaah mentioned this many times in the Qur'aan. Only Allaah knows the Ghayb and grants knowledge of certain things to Whomever He wills.

But not the complete knowledge of Ghayb which the Soofees and Rawaafidh claim for their Imaams and Shaykhs.

  2. I firmly believe that only God knows the unseen. He may reveal only some things to some chosen people but that is his discretion. I have met many people in my life who claimed they had knowledge of the unseen. They would also make predictions about the future. Evidence however proved to me that they were accurate only about 10% of the time. Now one can easily ascribe that to chance. Even if you throw a dice ten times, there is more than a 10% chance that you will get the number you are looking for. This has nothing to do with prediction. It is just mathematics.

  3. Sufis believe that Allah (swt) replaces himself in his craetures,,

@Abul Haarith, is that true bro?

  4. because they are liars.

  5. Assalaam-u-alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatahu wa magfiratu

  6. ['He Alone knows the unseen. He does not reveal His secrets to anyone.

except to the Rasool whom He may choose for that purpose, and then He appoints guards, who march

before him and behind him,] (Sura Junn: Verse:26,27)

Yes unseen is with Allah alone. None can claim of this knowledge to possess except Allah.  He reveals from His knowledge to a messenger through Wahy. (Inspirations) and sometimes parts of a dream becomes as a glad tiding for a believer and Allah informs some happy tidings. This informed to us through Hadith.

-True dreams are a part of Prophethood, as it was reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “True dreams are one of the forty-six parts of Prophethood.” (al-Bukhaari, 6472; Muslim, 4201)

Dreams marked the onset of Revelation (al-Bukhaari, 3; Muslim, 231).

The truthfulness of the dream is related to the sincerity of the dreamer. Those who have the most truthful dreams are those who are the most truthful in speech. (Muslim, 4200)

Towards the end of time, hardly any dreams will be untrue. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “That will be because the Prophethood and its effects will be so far away in time, so the believers will be given some compensation in the form of dreams which will bring them some good news or will help them to be patient and steadfast in their faith.” (al-Bukhaari, 6499; Muslim, 4200)

The second Hadith what your uncle said is correct according to all the scholars. The way some interpret this hadith is the  wrong. It is true that there are Auliya Allah (friends of Allah). We never deny it. How to be auliya and who is an aulia is well told to us according to Holy Quran and the Sunnah. None can be a Wali going against the Sunnah or the ways of the Sahaba (R.A) Allah's help is with them and His protection, this is called Karamath in terms. Many of Sahaba (r.a) had seen many of this special Help from Allah to them. For example the riding the horses of Sa'ad bin Abi Waqas (r.a) and his Jamaah on the waters of Tigris in Iraq. So to be Auliya is following their ways and not ways oppose to them. Those who are tied up in green clothes and sits around graves is not the sign of Wali. The friends of Allah, (wali) They follow Sunnah and the ways of Sahaba in speech and in action. They will have the qualities of a believer Allah mentioned in the Holy Quran. They cry in the late night and they forgive others. They are steadfast in doing good deeds in fear and hope from Allah. Allah's help is with them. Their hands and limbs and the whole body is upon obediance to Allah and following His messenger.

The hadith you are seeking is below.  It was related by al-Bukhari.

    Hadith Qudsi 25:

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said:

Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him. My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him.
