  1. Okay, first I want to say that I am not a doctor. I am a Certified Massage Therapist.  I deal with people with back pain everyday.  It sounds to me like you pulled a muscle or possible herniated a disc.  You are right to be nervous about being medicated.  It only masks the pain.  How long ago did this happen? What is your pain level? Do you have numbness or tingling in any of your extremities?

  2. i'm not a doctor but i have had this happen, your best shot is to get a back massage, or just go to a doctor and have it checked out before anything gets worse, you may have just pulled a muscle... go to physical theropy too if you can,
