I AGREE COMPLETELY WITH YOU.  ALTHOUGH, I THINK YOUR STATEMENT CAN APPLY ON A GLOBAL-SCALE.  ANYTIME YOU HAVE BIG-BUSINESS IN THE FORM OF MONOPOLIES, ONE'S INDIVIDUAL AND FREE CIVIL LIBERTIES WILL BE COMPROMISED AND ALLEVIATED.  THUS IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE A LAISSEZ-FAIRE TYPE APPROACH, HOWEVER THE BIG BUSINESSES ONLY SEE PROFIT AND WILL ARGUE THAT THERE IS PROGRESS, WHEN IN REALITY THERE IS ONLY PRGRESS IN THEIR BANK ACCOUNT, AT EXPENSE OF OTHERS.

There is a lot of poverty in India because the population is simply staggering and the politicians we are having in honorable posts are more bent on filling their pockets than caring for the people. There is too much corruption and majority of the people are so ignorant and backward that they simply don't want to move out of their traditional  practices and strive for development. It's got nothing to do with private hands... That's what I feel...

for the progress of india we need to focus on villages n other backward ares n states. Just developing or enlarging already big n metro cities is not the way.

First, please use lower case to input your questions.

In any country, if there are no private entrepreneurs, there shall be no real progress.  Look at what has been happening in China in the last three decades or so. When the entrepreneurs invest in new ventures, there get created job opportunities which help the common people in many ways!

That's just a brief interpretation of the issues brought up by you!

2) Poverty is not as good as prosperity.

3) India is a land of mixed economy.

4) Production of a nation(GDP) is a indicator of prosperity.

5) High level of production if followed by proper distribution system will open-up scopes to common people.

6) unlike China  Indian Democracy gives you all scopes to enrich yourself.Many people earned huge wealth starting from scratch.

7) Please don't defame TATAs, They have great contribution towards  the nation.( Indian airlines is one of them)

8) Nobody in India will forbid you to earn prosperity( if not infringed by law )

9) Asker may try to be a TATA or Reliance if he has that  quality.

10) Common people are mostly cheated by the politicians.

11) None on Earth can change the destiny of 70 crore poor Indians if they themselves can not change it by entrepreneurship.

You forget one basic fact and that is that people like Dhirubhai Ambani also belonged to the common man's category once and had a much more humbler beginning than you or me.

Also it cannot be gainsaid that in the process of becoming the doyen of industry,many

hundreds of common folk were given the opportunity to share in the growth and become

well i guess u are absolutely right. These people have risen in the past but hv a look at common man. His standard of living has raised. There is raise in income and expenditure.
