How can I delete a hidden folder made by pressing Alt+255 on my desktop?

So I made a folder and pressed Alt+255. Now there is no title, however, that was just a test and so now I want to delete it, but I can't.

There has to be a way, and I was wondering if anybody knows and could write out the procedure in deleting the "blank" folder.

Thanks for your help!!!

  1. open a command prompt

    type rd "c:\whereverthe\file\is\< press ALT+255 >"

make sure the quotes are there then press alt+255 and then enter. don't include the brackets.

  2. First, right click on it and check the attributes to see that it is not set to "Read only"... Un check that box.  Otherwise, reboot your computer and see if it is still there.

Your best best is to download a FREE Malaware and registry cleaner. It will remove it.

Open your browser and type this "mbam.exe and followthe instructions. It wil take you to a setup.exe file and just download it. It will scan your drive and clean the folder and other dangerous stuff on your compter.

This is one of the best trojan, virus checker remover around.Hope this helps...

  3. I could tell you but I would have to charge you.  Professional consultancy comes at a price.
