  1. Since you do not have three phase power to your house, the proper term is you have lost one lag.  When you go to the service box, you check the main first.  The rule is troubleshoot from the power source out.  An electrician should be called to check for the reason for the short.  If reseting the main does not solve the problem, the utility company is responsible for any repair on the other side of the meter.  It sounds like you may have a transformer that went bad. (Utility problem).

  2. You've popped a fuse. Check the fuse box and see if any of the red or black switches are on the opposite side of all the rest of them. Push it over to the other side. You probably have too many things plugged into the outlets. Start unplugging the things you really don't need. You are overloading the circuitry.

  3. Sounds like something is wrong in your panel or metor base or at the pole..........your only getting half of your money's worth..  hope you find it..........I had a burned lug on my meter and that was happening to me............good luck....it could just be a main breaker there'e only one.......buttttttttttttt good luck

  4. Check your circuit breaker, Make sure you don't have any overloaded circuits which could cause a breaker to flip, also overloads is a fire hazard. if your breaker is fine and there is no overloads then there must of been a short somwhere.

  5. try resetting the main breaker, turn it all the way off, then back on.

  6. would need more information, did something take place before this happened?

could be many things, from bad underground or service drop to bad main breaker.

sorry but not much to go on

  7. Try flipping the main breaker fully off and the on.

DO NOT under any circumstances run anything rated 220v as you can easily burn them up..  Common 220v devices:  Well motor, clothes dryer, compressor, air conditioners....

If that doesn't fix it, ask the power company to check the power to your house.  IF there's power there but you still have a leg out, time to call the electrician.

    Good luck!

  8. If you are in the U.S., you have lost one phase of the power to your house.  That is why you only have 110 volts to half your house.  Call an electrician.

  9. You have 240 volts coming to your house. As most of your household needs are only 120 volts it appears that you have half. You need to find where you have lost one leg (120 volts). Start at your service panel after the main breaker and than before. If before  the breaker then you need to have the meter base checked. This is probably sealed so you may have to call an electrician or you power supplier. Good Luck
