  1. I agree with the first answerer, DFO is biggest. You can also go to Highpoint (not as big, nice stores, though.) or you could go to the city, and shop at Melbourne Central, Swanson Street and Flinders Lane. The market is also just a tram ride away. I'd advise you to go to the city, since you can reach many different areas by public transport and walking, and there are so many more shops. Go to Flinders Lane-the best place to find unique and stylish things, I'm sure you'll love it. It's the coolest and best place to shop! Have fun!

  2. The ultimate factory outlet in Melbourne is DFO. http://www.dfo.com.au/ There is one in Spencer Street, Essendon and Cheltenham. You will find Big Brands, Big Names and Big Bargains

If you want something more unique try going to the Queen Victoria Market on the weekend. You will get a real bargain there

Here is a website that you might want to check out with all the factory outlets in Australia http://www.factoryoutletsaustralia.com/

    http://www.discountshoppingguide.com.au/...

You may also want to take a shopping tour (this will take you to about 10-12 various factory outlets) http://www.melbourneshoppingtours.com.au...

    hope this helps

    Happy shopping!!!
