come on mate lets be fair about it like, cooper did not beat ali, just one of those things that happens in sport. tyson was well past his best when lewis smacked him. hatton got destroyed  by mayweather etc.

Welp ... judging from all the answers it looks like you put "Your foot in it" again!!  When will you ever learn ... tsk ... tsk ...

The next time you should ask for people who don't know much about boxing and then maybe you'll have a chance.

someone is upset.... to say Lewis beat a prime tyson is like saying Calzaghe beat a prime Hopkins.... you listed one great Boxer in Lennox, who loved england so much he fought for Canada in the Olympics, and a couple of pretty good fighters .....thats it , thats all british boxing has to offer, three freaking fighters.... and you are trying to say they could of whup all americans.... get a few more champions then you can come back with this silly question or statement....but till then JOG On you Pansy

tyson was so washed up at that stage. tysons prime was his early 20`s. lewis fought him when he was 36 and didnt have the desire to box anymore. evander was past his best. joe didnt smash anybody. who got dropped and who looked worse at the end. hopkins, well you woulnt even think he was in a fight judging by his face. hatton got shown up to be one dimensional and average by mayweather.

Are you serious? Mike Tyson fought Lennox Lewis in 2002, thats not his prime. when tyson was in his prime Lennox and Holyfield were ducking him. Where was Lennox in 97? he was fighting but he didn't want Tyson. where was Holyfield?  tyson was on top then and no one wanted him. they waited to fight the mentally ill, drugged up Tyson who had lost his training team...."everyone wanted to score points off that Tyson."  

Joe calzaghe fought a 43 year old man who is but a shadow of himself and it was still close lol. He was supposed to win by a landslide. The only other person Calzaghe fought in his career was Jeff"left hook,no jab,no defense"Lacy who can't beat American fighters either lol. Name another person that Calzaghe has fought that is considered a great fighter and don't say Mikkel Kessler because he racked up his good record just like Calzaghe did, fighting bar patrons and taxi drivers. If you can think of any good fighters he has fought feel free to email me brother.

P.S. I didn't here you mention Ricky Hatton either, i'll leave that alone.

wow man do you even watch boxing honestly. Mike Tyson in his prime when he fought Lennox Lewis??? That is truely sad I mean how can you even say that. Mike Tyson was in his prime before and when he fought Holyfield. Holyfield was 37 and way way past his prime when he fought Lennox Lewis who I believe was about 33 when they fought. Lennox Lewis cleaned up on all the dying heavyweights. You are truely a moron. As for Calzaghe he chose to fight a guy 8 years older than him when he could have fought Kelly Pavlik. Joe does not want to lose his undefeated record so he will probably dodge Pavlik and fight Roy Jones, and than retire simple as that. Mayweather-Hatton what happened there? Two fighters in there prime. Muhammad Ali ( cassius clay ) who beat Henry Cooper, so I don't know what your talking about. Dude, dont start another one of these stupid boxing conflicts. Im British and I think these are a waste of space on this category, and you Americans shouldnt even listen to these posts if you were smart enough. Boxing has heroes from all over, if its Not Britain its America, and if its not America its Puerto Rico or the Phillipinnes.

Im a teen and I know more about Boxing then some idiots that post on this website. America can get cocky, very, but then when you look at Ricky Hatton, then you think differently. Go Miguel Cotto I say. I love how he fights, and he could beat ANY welterweight. Also, hes not the typical patriotic fighter who ends up getting beat, like Bernard Hopkins. And yeah, in 2002 wasnt exactly his PRIME. But yes, Henry Cooper did beat Clay.

I would like to mention one thing that has not been brought up as of yet. Lennox Lewis learn to box and perfected his trade as a Canadian not a Brit. He did decide for whatever reason to fight  pro as a Brit. But by all accounts he still learned every thing from his Canadian coach's.  EH
