Question:

Only one bloodshot eye?

Well, I figured it was because I had just recently put in a new pair of contact lenses (Monthly changing), but I'm not too sure. Earlier today, I noticed that it was bothering my right eye more than my left. The right was really red, but my left was only slightly pink. I had no idea what it was, so I took out the contact in my right eye, and my left eye slowly returned to normal. And yet, my right eye is still pretty red. Not as bad as before, but it doesn't seem to be getting much better. If I just leave it, the eyelid tends to stay only half-open, so I'm a little worried. Is there any way to make it better as soon as possible, without going to see a doctor or spending masses of money?

  1. It might be pink eye or an infection (the two are pretty much the same)

  2. i had the same thing happen to me and when i went to the doctors they made me wear my glasses for a two or three weeks and put in drops because i had a infection starting.

if you dont want to go to the doctor try wearing your glasses for a week but if it doesnt get any better you should probably go see somene about it.

  3. I had the SAME problem. I got sent home from the school 'cuz they thought I had pink eye. They said the reason It happened to me is because I wear them all night, AND, it's good to take them out to let your eyes breath. Your eyes can get infected.

So just wear your glasses or just don't wear contacts for the rest of the week. Your eye will return to normal.

Redness drops didn't work, trust me, I tried.  It was in my left eye as well. And, the eyelid thing happened to. And it hurt my left eye to go in bright light outside.

  4. Hmm...I did have an experience about 8 years ago where I was actually ALLERGIC to the contacts my Dr. provided me with the same reactions.  Swollen eyes, red and I wore them for about 4 months before I realized it wasn't just Pink Eye that wasn't going away.  CHeck out the symptoms of Pink Eye on webmd.com and if that is not it, make sure that you check with your optometrist!
