Only one kind of person?

i believe that all people are basically the same. this feeling was cultivated by the book "Fathers and Sons", when the character Bazarov said so.

so, i believe that everyone is the same. but all of our upbringings were different, which turned us into who we are. check out this comparison:

every tree in a forest is the same. they all have roots, branches, and trunks. they need water and sunlight. but, some evolved into different types of trees based on their upbringing. trees in deserts adapted to need less water. and certain other trees adapted to have smaller roots, etc.

but they all came from one seed in the beginning, and they were all alike.

but what do YOU think?

  3. yes

  4. I haven't read Fathers and Sons yet, but my inclination is to disagree.  I think everyone is unique.  I think individual consciousness and experience make people unique.  We never know what someone else feels or thinks.    We can only guess at another person's perspective, based on our own experience.

I don't think we all come from the same 'seed' and then evolved differently depending on environment.  Different environments change the seeds, so it's not like the original seed any more.

What I'm trying to say is: even before we've born we're already a product of our environment, especially when you consider the difference between the circumstances of European royalty and African peasants, for example.

I dunno.  Maybe I haven't made a very good case.  It just seems counter-intuitive to me to say that all people are basically the same.

  5.    I think that saying there is only one type of person is way to general.  I go a little more specific to there are generaly two types of people i positive, more happy person, and a negative person with more a a downer attitude. exceptions will apply its a general statement. but physicaly there really is only one type of person ,not gender wise, ally people require the same things to survive.  What it say in your question is very ture, untill you factor in the fact that people can think and feel a lot better that a tree can.

  6. All spirits are part of All That Is.  Freedom of choices for the adventure are incalculable
