Question:

Only one of my eyes is itchy? Not two?

I have really bad allergies, but they usually make both of my eyes itchy until I take a Claritin and eye-drops. For about two days only one of my eyes is itchy - extremely itchy - mostly in the tear duct. My eye isn't red or swollen or tearing. It just itches badly.

What could this be?

  1. Even though there is no redness and it is not swollen, it could be pink eye. I had pink eye once, but it was not red or swollen, just really itchy. If it doesn't stop, I would go to the doctor.

  2. if you have contacts then that happens quite often...things stick to the outer and sometimes inner layer and so it will obviously effect your eye when you blink so if you have contacts get a new one for that one eye or simply take it out and clean it and make sure nothing is in your eye.  If you dont have contacts then it is still probably the same thing if it continues to bother you simply see your ophtahmologist and they will take care of this...i wouldnt worry though

    good luck

  3. its allergy season, dont worry you'll be fine give it sometime. Maybe you might have got an eyelash stuck

  4. It could be an early sign of pink eye. And it can only effect one eye until it moves to the other eye too.

  5. I have the "one-eye itch" too... but mine only happens when I wear contacts and the only thing that sort of helps are these Blink eye drops.

  6. is your eye is pink you could have pink eye cheek with  a doctor. if your eye isn't pink your might have allergy's

  7. allergies ?

  8. maybe you got some kind of irritant in that particular eye, or you could have an eyelash stuck in there.

  9. yeah its normal and fine just itch it and go to sleep:) and it wont be itchin'
