Question:

Only one water bottle mount on bike?

My bike only has one place to mount a water bottle holder, and being a major sweater, I really need to bring along more that one bottle on long rides (and I go out in the country where there is no place to refill). What are my options other than carrying one in the pocket of my jersey?

  1. Go to your nearest bike shop and have them put an extra water bottle cage on your bike. It won't cost you more than 10 dollars and thats a generous estimate.  Dehyration on a ride is a serious and potenitally fatal situation.  Spend the 10 bucks and ride on....

  2. There are seat post bottle cages both single and dual.

You can mount another on your frame with hose type clamps.

    Use a camelbak.

Use a very tall bottle for your single cage.

EDIT: I didn't copy your answer mtbikr. There was only 1 answer when I started mine! We must think alike is all.

  3. Camel Back is your best bet.  Bottles can only hold so much.

  4. Try a camelback water carrier.

  5. you could always mount another one, or get a basket on your bike (looks kind of dumb i know but it would be useful)

  6. You have two options,

    1) A Camelpak. ( wide verity of makes and capacity)

    2) You can mount a bottle holder to the seat post. (most of these hold two bottles and just clamp on.)

  7. You might want to cosider a Camelbak.  Those are great for long distance rides.
