  1. the klitchko bros are good but they came into the scene during a weak heavyweight era. take nothing away from them, they are good but not top ten.

all the boxers you mentioned deserve to be in the hof.  zab might be the only one that would be second ballot.  reasons?  easy.  all are champs in multiple weight classes, fought the best, and held their titles for long periods of time.

  2. First things first - Andrew S is a moron!  I'll take boxing over ufc any day of the week.  I guess I am hobo or a rich person.  And can he find two more dissimilar stereotypes than "hobo" and "rich person"

Now onto my answer since I got the first part off my chest.

For the Klitschko bros, Wladimir is the more naturally talented but Vitali is the stronger and more durable fighter.  But the truth is that they were in an era of mediocre heavyweights.  Look at most of the heavyweights over the last few years: Chris Byrd, John Ruiz, Hasim Rachman, Nicolay Valuev, Shannon Briggs, Sultan Ibragimov, and a well-past-his-prime Evander Holyfield.  The only names that generate any excitement are Samuel Peter and the up-and-comers David Haye and Chris Arreola.  The K Bros in another era would not be so dominant.  Picture them in the 70s with Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton, Lyle, Shavers, Holmes, etc.

    HOF

De la Hoya - ABSOLUTELY!!!  Some will argue he lost many of his important fights but the fact is that he beat a lot of quality fighters, brought in some serious PPV revenue, and has accomplished much in the aspect of cleaning up the sport.  If he doesn't make it as a fighter, he might make it to the HOF as a promoter.

Mayweather - It says something for a guy who has a "0" at the end of his record and fought championship caliber opponents for 10 of his 12 professional years.

James Toney - I am on the fence.  His middleweight title win over Michael Nunn was impressive  but he had a disgrace decision over Dave Tiberi.  He looked great at Super Middleweight but then gave a lethargic performance against Jones.  And with the tainted rep of being out of shape and steroid allegations, I have to vote no.

Zab Judah - NO WAY JOSE!!!!  I always saw him as the utlimate front runner.  He would be great when things were going his way but he would crumble in the face of adversity.

Bernard Hopkins - Easy 1st Ballot HOF.  Many people think of the 40+ yr old Hopkins whose fights are dull.  But I followed BHop when he was fighting 6 round fights in Philly.  20+ title defenses against some good fighters (Joe Lipsey, Andrew Council, John David Jackson, Antwan Echols, Keith Holmes, Felix Trinidad, William Joppy, and De la Hoya).  But he won the Ring Magazine Light Heavyweight title.  In his prime, he was a demon out there combining a slick defense, good skills, a strong chin, and KO power.  Don't discount him now because of his recent lackluster performances.  Even the Great Sugar Ray Robinson struggled after the age of 40.

  3. Watch UFC. only hobos and rich people watch boxing

  4. vitaly and wladimir sort of poped up at the wrong time but its also the right time to up to aound the year 2000 or 2003 it was ok you would watch it now it not good i dont care for it...not there problem tho they can do no more than fight if you call it that..i always loved anything under them no hugging holding slow i want to see a fight not that ufc c**p toe 2 toe stuff.

    oscar yes

    floyd yes

hopkins yes.. real fans khow why these are going there....

zab and tony? HOF   they had there fair bit of problems over the years drugs and  bans..so depnds but on that i dont thing so...

but not the end of the world if not better boxer have not made it and worse boxers are in there....

boxing fans will tell you the same..

  5. the klitschko brothers play a significant part in the heavyweight division since lennox lewis relinquished the title...it gave boxing fans insight in how weak the heavyweight division has weakened...samuel peters, ruslan chagaev, oleg maskaev, nicolay valuev are the prominent contenders...throw in chris byrd, hasim rahman, john ruiz and it all makes up the heavyweight picture today...lennox lewis, evander holyfield, mike tyson, riddick bowe, and michael moorer made up the ranks prior to the klitschko invasion...

  6. UFC?!?? oh please, two shirtless guys in short shorts wrestling on the floor.

  7. If it wasn't for the Klitchko brothers, heavyweight division would be more of a joke than it is now. In a worldwide margin, the brothers are known for their knockout ability. In America, they have no luck with their fame.

De La Hoya and Mayweather are just in it for the money especially after going into promotion businesses. Mayweather scared to lose. De La Hoya wants to keep boxing alive.

Toney has a pretty decent record never really KO'd but lacks the charisma to defeat great fighters. Judah always wants something to prove needs to step up his game and Hopkins just doesn't know when to retire because he still wants to beat the best fighters in his division.

Hall of fame?: If Mayweather comes out of retirement and defeats more opponents in his league especially fighters capable of a rival match. If we went back in time and Oscar defeats Hopkins and Trinidad and Mosely. If Hopkins defeated Roy Jones in a triligy when both at prime. If the Klitchko brothers had better opponents. If Toney defeated Samuel Peter, Montell Griffin, Roy Jones and Wladamir. If Judah defeated Floyd Mayweather in a trilogy.

Mayeather and Hopkins are currently the top in your list to becoming Hall of Fame fighters.
