How long will it take me to know my eyes are infected due to a contaminated contact?

Is it quick or does it take hours or days to actually feel the symptoms?

  1. It depends on the infection. I assume that you aren't wearing the contacts anymore, right? Make sure to watch for any pain, swelling, redness, or unusual discharge. It could potentially take days for an infection to show up.

Since you suspect that you might have an infection, you shouldn't be wearing any contacts. If you do, you will just be re-infecting the contacts and then re-infecting your eyes. Stay away from any contacts the next few days until you are sure your eyes are healthy.

  2. Discontinue using your contacts. The speed of infection all depends on the source. To be on the safe side, have your eyes checked by your optometrist. He/she can give you some drops for prevention.

  3. you will know lt lf you have a eye infection cause your eyes will start stinging and they will get watery. so your gonna need to see a doctor about getting some eye drops to clear up any infection you may have. don`t mess around with your eye site
