Ontario, Devil You Know and Mo Cara Frankie gave a chance to push the boat out after a tremendous win in A6 480M Flat
On the 12th of September, Monmore race track scheduled the Grade A 6 race, covering 480 meters flat distance. Three races took place that day, covering the same distance, entailing a purse of £96.
Among the three lucky hounds who were capable enough to win the prize money was one champion, Ontario, proclaimed as the fastest one to get hold of the wire in the A6 480 M Flat.
The black hound, trained by K M Bebbington, whitewashed the 5/2 favourite of the race, Fatboyz Secret, tremendously.
Wearing blue and white jacket, the four-year-old railed through the pack of hounds superbly. Although the trap 2 winner got crowded at the initial stage of the race, the dog copped up with the situation very intelligently and got hold of the wire in 29.19
seconds.
The 4/1 favourite was lucky enough to defeat trainer M T Baker’s brindle hound who was considered as the most favourite among the participants.
The second immediate winner of the race was Devil You Know, who has proved that clearing himself out from a troubling situation is a cinch for him.
Trainer A J Walter’s two-year-old hound flashed through trap 3 tremendously, wearing black and white jacket. The black hound was speedy from the beginning of his chase.
Victory in the A 6 480 M Flat was a triumph for Devil You Know. He vanquished the five contenders, including the three most favourites of the race, Cleraunes Dream, Abbies Fortune and Hypnotic Circus, who were in by 3/1CF.
Even though Devil You Know got crowded by 3 whole lengths, he boosted himself and with an out class get up and go attitude, he managed to complete his required distance in 29.29 seconds.
The third fastest winner of the A 6 480 M Flat was Mo Cara Frankie, the fawn dog, who with the help of P Burford’s training made himself capable to fulfill the expectations of his trainer.
Being the 9/4 favourite of the race, he chased the lure in a perfect manner.
The three-year-old with an amazing pace and speedy effort, placed himself in the lead. Racing through trap 2, the young hound not only won the purse for his trainer, but also defeated Dunblog Tsunami, giving the champ a head to head competition.
Out of the total prize money of £263, the lucky ones took £96 home with pride, while the hounds who finished second were rewarded £35 and the rest were given £33 each.
