Question:

Ontario. Driver's licence reinstatment help?

I recently had my driver's licence suspended, FOR MEDICAL REASONS. The MTO has sent me a notice saying my licence will be reinstated by the advice of my doctor. But, they are making me do a road test and written exam.

IS THIS RIGHT??

I know if your licence is suspended for, say, DUI or anything of your own fault, you're required to do the test again, but the medical condition was out of my control.

This condition didn't erase my ability to drive, nor had I ever demonstrated the innability to drive safely. I passed a written exam and road test just a few months before having my licence suspended... I don't think I should have to do these again!

PLEASE PLEASE... is this normal? Is this regular procedure?!
