Well i went to the dmv today to get my permit and i failed the vision test because my glasses were old. They gave me this document so i could go to my optomotrist and test my eyes and test my new aucity and state if my eyes are good enough to be driving. They then said i had to bring the documents back. So im wondering if i get my optomotrist to sign these documents and proove my eyes are good enough for the road will i just have to show the dmv the doucment and i wont have to do the eye test? Or must i still take the test and they tell me to redo it when i get my new glasses?

If i have to redo the test i dont see why they made me take a document to the optomotrist and sign it, because if i show them the document they should let me skip the visual exam WHY because on the document it would state that my eyes are good enough to be driving and im going to get my prescribed lenses soon.

  1. You just need to show them your signed documents from the optometrist. No need to redo the tests.

However, your license will state that you would need your prescription glasses to drive.
