  1. Safety certification in Ontario primarily focuses on the safety aspects of your vehicle. This will include an inspection of the undercarriage to insure there are no holes. They will check brakes, rotors, and tires. They will check steering components and axles. Basically anything to do with your safety and the safety of others on the road. As Ontario uses a lot of Chemical Liquid Road Salt on the roads in the winter, it is surprising to see how many undercarriages are in a bad state of neglect. Holes, Rust, Rotting, etc. This is what they will be looking for.
