Ontatio - Georgian College?

Question

How far is this college from Toronto? What is the public transportation like to and from getting to the college? Its in Barrie.

Talk to the Georgian College student office about living in dorms. There are at least  3  large student apartment  buildings on campus. Plus lots of private places to rent in the city of Barrie.

Living in Toronto, and attending Georgian is nuts, in the winter ???????

Snow closures on the 400 highway ? Plus the cost of gas ???

it would take about 2-2.5 hours to get there from toronto.  there is a go bus/train, although its usually a bus that goes from union to barrie.  and then from that you would just have to take a city bus to the college

It's far from Toronto (and certainly downtown), at least a 2 1/2 hour drive, maybe more if you factor in traffic. There is a GO train that runs from Union Station to Barrie South station, but this is not close to campus and would require a transfer to Barrie Transit. There's also a GO bus which goes to Barrie Bus Terminal downtown via Newmarket (and I think you have to transfer buses) but again, you would have to transfer to a city bus (#16 College).

By transit, you're looking at 3-4 hours of commuting one way. You'll either need to get a car if you're determined to live in Toronto, or find accommodations closer to the college.
