Oonagh gets the best odds for Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden
Oonagh has received the best odds for winning Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden at Cork in Ireland on Saturday, April 7, 2012. A cash prize of €9,315 has been set for the triumphant horse.
Going will be good to firm in the 1 mile 110 yard long race, which is scheduled to start at 4:30 GMT, and a total of 12 runners have been attracted towards it.
Following are the names of the confirmed entries: Oonagh, Absolute Crackers, Ahimsa, Daring Queen, La Oliva, Majestic Timeline, November Power, Queens Visit, Silk Kimono, Starstruck, Tearsforjoy and Teofolina.
Kieran P Cotter’s trained runner, Oonagh, has managed to impress the bookies, as she seems to be a very good runner. She has not taken part in any race, but has the potential of becoming one of the best in the business.
The three-year-old filly will not be under much pressure, as the rest of the runners are also quite inexperienced and will not find things to be easy at this level. This will test the punters, as they will have no clear favourite for this race. They
will have to be clever before risking money on any of the runners.
Today’s favourite runner will be partnered by S. H. James, who is quite inexperienced and will need a special effort in order to impress one and all. He has the potential to fight for victories, but will need some luck in tomorrow’s race.
Absolute Crackers is another runner, who can battle for victory at Cork today. Her strike rate is not good though, as she has not managed to win any race out of four attempts, but she has a solid chance of bringing up her maiden win.
The three-year-old filly has been in terrific form over the past few months, as she finished runner up in her previous three races. She needs to carry that momentum in tomorrow’s race in order to challenger her rivals.
Other than the top two favourites, Ahimsa, Daring Queen and La Oliva will also be a force to reckon, as they are decent runners. However, they will need to be at their absolute best in order to finish amongst the top three.
