Oops, again on pool problem...When replacing the "eyeball" in the return, we caused a leak w/in return pipe??

Thanks for correcting my "pool" terminology, yes the eyeball in the return was replaced to allow for a portable fountain. When this occurred it appears tapping it in place in the "return" pipe caused a leak. Do we have to dig out the concrete and replace (yikes), work around the return opening in the pool, or other solution? Thanks for your help!!

If your leak is in the pipe, yes dig out.

If it is on the surface wall around jet, pool putty may help.

Hardware store, pool store, Home Depot, Lowes.

Epoxy pool putty.
