Hiya! I got a Rome Blue snowboard for as a birthday gift a few days ago, and...did i get the wrong kind of board?! I've been snowboarding for 2 years only renting, and I was hoping to start trying out jumps and tricks this coming winter. I was looking at the snowboard's information online, and it looks like a racing board. An all-mountain snowboard can be used for jumps, tricks, and grinding rails, right? And if so, would it damage the board at all? Here's the board I got, if you need additional information: http://www.romesnowboards.com/product/boards/blue/ Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

  1. Well off the site you posted Rome rated the board with an 8 in park, so I'd say it would probably do fine.  It is a little stiffer so it wouldn't be as good as some others for boxes/rails, but as for damaging the board, I think it would hold up just as good as any other board.  But if you were looking for a Rome board more directed towards park, the Detail would probably be your best bet if you didn't mind how soft and flexy it is.  It's a true twin which is usually better when riding in the park whereas the Blue is directional, made for more of an all-mountain type of riding.

  2. probably not even when "racing" jumps happen and i have a racing board and all i do is the terrain park

  3. it'll be fine

  4. yea it will work.

  5. Hey, Don't doubt it for a second! I have ridden rome and been sponsored by them for 2 years now, I've ridden every board they have in womens, since i'm guessing you don't do street handrails, and probably are not too agressive in the park [which is okay!] this board will be more than fine for you! I personally ride the Rome Detail which is pretty much an all park board, so if you were really against this board, thats the one i would tell you to go to.. But trust me this board is just fine for you, and will be perfect for when you want to take a break from the park and go ride some regular runs!

  6. dude i has an avreage rating of an 8 for park its just fine i have a rome machine, anthem and crail i love them all as long as you dont jib in you hood you down town you'll be fine i only jib (street with me machine all my other boards if you land on any concrete it reall effs up your board unless riding street board

  7. its an all mountain board for sure. you wont wreck it.

they rated it a 6 for street worthy so it wont be as jib-tastic as it could be but it will be fine.

you'll have fun on it regardless. if you've been renting for 2 years you gotta get use to this one then find out where you need to tweak it it optimze performance.
