separate oil & gas tank - it ran for a few minutes then quit. I realized my error and drained the oil tank. If I allow it to dry out will it work properly?

  1. You may have damaged your engine if it quit on it's own. Introducing gas where oil should be will eliminate needed lubrication and cause extreme overheating. If it gets hot enough it will cause scoring or warping of parts.

The good news is these small engines are tough and it may be fine.

Add oil and start her back up. If it runs you're set.

  2. it probably siezed the engine--not good

drain and refill with oil and give it a try, you really can't mess it up anymore than you have already---maybe youll be lucky and it will be ok
