Oops i put sand in my tank wit out washin it wat do i do next? theres no fish in yet?

Well you can do water changes before adding your fish, or you can use a gravel vacuum to help remove the excess rubbish, however, I wouldn't do it thoroughly because the sand may contain the necessary bacteria to help boost your fish tank.

However, if you are insistant on washing the sand out, you can remove the sand from the tank, put them in a bucket or buckets, shoot the sand down with water and drain the water from the bucket. You don't want to wash it down thoroughly because of some of the bacteria.

Another thing that you can do is let the tank sit, and the filter will pick up a lot but not all the excess rubbish. Besides, you need to cycle the tank anyways, so it won't really matter.

Just let the filter run for a couple of days like 2-3. I did this once with rocks and my fish were fine after 2 days of letting the filter run.
