  1. Go to your doctor and have him check you.  If it's not an infection  there could be another reason for the odor.  He could give you a medication to control it.  Don't douche - it's the worst thing you can do for yourself.  Even medicated douches are very very bad for your body.

The other possibility is that you have an extremely sensitive nose and the odor of your menstrual blood is upsetting you.    Clean yourself with a soapy washcloth after you go to the bathroom and rinse well.  Dry your groin area well after washing and use some baby powder on it.  Change your pad or insert every time you go to the bathroom or whenever you feel uncomfortable.

    This might help :)

  3. You might have a yeast infection. Don't douche. Use Monistate the 7 day treatment. It should take the smell away for good. If you still get the smell you might want to go see your OB GYN.

  4. try actually using the summers eve feminine wash.  Douching is bad for you, because of the balance of bacteria. there are allot of different washed by different company's.  I would try that, if it doesn't work then I would ask your doctor.

  5. don't douche again! if you got an infection from it before, chances are likely it will happen again, just because your vaginal area is sensitive.

just let the period happen a couple times, the smell may subside. .when your period occurs it will flush away some of the bacterias that are in your cervix and v****a.

you may find that as more time passes the smell will fade because of flushing bacteria. it may also be a hormonal thing. remember you just had a child, you still have a lot of hormones coursing through your body.

if you are really concerned though, talk to your doctor. they may be able to prescribe a topical ointment or medication that you can take to resolve the issue.

  7. sorry dont kno much about that

  8. If you have always had this smell, it may just be your smell. If it occurs after s*x, it could be a bacterial infection. You need to go to the doctor and be tested to determine what it is exactly. You should listen to your doctor about douching. It does destroy bad and good bacteria which can cause infections.

  9. try feminine deodorant.  sounds like you may have a yeast infection....you can treat that with medicine.  if there is a foul odor...there is a problem.  I would go back to the doctor and have them seriously check you out.  Good luck

  10. Yeah, what you can do is just get and empty shampoo bottle * make sure it is clean* and just squeeze it so the water will go up there. Also make sure the water isn't too cold or too hot.

  11. Go to the DR.  It should not smell, and yes douches throw off your natural balance.  Since you just gave birth, an infection is very possible.  Go to the Dr, let him or her tell you whether or not a douch will help.  In the meantime, use external products like feminine wipes or powders to control the odor.

Please though, go to the Dr so they can let you know if you do have the early stages of an infection, that way you can stop it before it gets worse.

  12. I've never been pregnant, so I don't know if that could cause it, but when I first started having periods the smelled, bad.

The doctor said it was because I had too much iron in my system, and to stop taking my current vitamins, which had iron added to them.

So if you're still taking prenatal vitamins you may want to switch to a different one.
