He turned professional in the year 2004 acquired the full playing status on the European Tour through the Qualifying School the next year.
He has won four professional events in his short career, two of them coming on the European Tour.
He won his last European Tour event in 2010 when he landed the WGC-HSBC Champions.
He added, “My game was really good today, and hopefully it will be the same for the next three days and I’m sure I will have a chance to win this tournament on Sunday”.
Some 11 glistening European Tour players are tied for the 11th including the likes of Matteo Manassero, Frenchman Romain Wattel, Englishman Simon Dyson  and James Morrison, South African Thomas Aiken, German Siem Marcel, Swede Christian Nilsson,
Spaniard Rafael Cabrera-Bello and Pablo Larazabal, Danish Soren Kjeldsen and Argentinean Ricardo Gonzalez.
Second round of the event is currently underway with the projected halfway cut established at three-over, 75.
David Horsey fell for a disastrous eight-over, 80 and has further fallen down with his second round score of five-over since morning.
He is now all set to miss the cut alongside Swede Oscar Floren.
Miguel Angel Jimenez, one of the most experienced Spaniards in the field is also facing the bleak scenario of missing the cut after a sloppy first round of three-over, 75.
Adding up to his vows, the grizzled veteran has carded a lacklustre round of four-over so far and will need a miracle to survive the halfway cut.
Englishman Colin Montgomerie, also part of the field, has shot a disappointing four-over, 76 on the first day and has fallen for yet another two-over in the morning.   
Open de Espana is one of the latest on the European Tour calendar after a thrilling event in South Korea, the Ballantine’s Championship at Blackstone Golf Club, Seoul.
The tour is also celebrating 40 years of its creation, marking the development and progress of the sport all over the world.
European Tour now has 47 events scheduled in the calendar year, stretched over 25 countries in five continents.
The total purse of the event is €2,000,000 and precious Race to Dubai points which will eventually help the winner to reserve a place in the upcoming Ryder Cup in October.
