Open mic song suggestions, please! (acoustic)?

hi - me and a friend of mine are planning on playing at an open mic night. we both play acoustic guitar. i'm a gal, he's a guy. any good acoustic songs you could suggest would be much appreciated. we're both into emo/indie music, but anything (except rap) will do. thanx.
