Open office for mac.?

Question

I want a free application that i could write stuff in. For book reports and stuff.... somebody told me open office was good. I want something free. if open office is good. somebody please give me the link to somewhere where i can download it. Btw i have a macbook. Thanks!

Here's the web page. There is only one version since this is a Java program. You would probably want to make sure you have an updated version of the Java runtime also from java.com for your mac.
